On the occasion of the choral event marking German Unity Day, the Zellhausen Community Center (Mainhausen) takes center stage as a venue for local politics and civil society.
Built in 1974, the Community Center is a place where democratic discourse takes place. In addition to public municipal meetings, elections, swearing-in ceremonies, and party meetings, the meetings of the association network, concerts, and festivals also regularly bring together diverse people from the community—through music as well as through information and images.
On German Unity Day, the women’s and men’s choirs will demonstrate together how, in a choir—just as in democracy—every voice is heard and counted, and unites with others to create harmony.
