The Caligari FilmBühne opened in 1926 as the Ufa-Palast; since 1980, it has been home to the municipal cinema, a community space dedicated to exploring socially relevant themes through film.
As part of the “Wiesbaden Reads” literary festival, Josephine Baker’s legacy will be reimagined, with a focus on its current social relevance: racism, sexual self-determination, humanity, democracy, and human rights.
This evening will honor Josephine Baker and highlight the significance of her art and stance for future generations and the present day.
