Without the work of migrants, nothing would function in Frankfurt (or in the world). In my workshop, we will do practical writing exercises together and explore: Who has been forgotten? Who would I like to remember more? How can you use language to change things that seem unchangeable?

I want to encourage you to be creative—especially if you feel that German class was never really your strength.

Isaak Kudaschov works alternately as an actor, author, and theatre educator. Before that, he studied theatre in Giessen. His texts have been published and awarded in, among others, Nagelprobe, Literarische Diverse, and transcodiert. As an author and workshop leader, he is particularly interested in the question: How can we rewrite old narratives—newly and differently?

The Project DemokratieKiosk is realised by Lust auf besser leben gGmbH. Funded by: Gefördert von: WDC, Kulturfonds RheinMain, Deutsche Stiftung Fernsehlotterie, Stiftung Polytechnische Gesellschaft, Hessische Landeszentrale für politische Bildung, Kulturzeiter*innen e.V.
