Demokratie unter Druck mit Ina Hengstler #2

A kiosk is a place of encounter, writing, diversity, and opinions. In the workshop “Democracy Under Pressure,” participants collaboratively develop a multilingual stamp alphabet with letters, numbers, and symbols. Using it, they print democratic demands, wishes, and thoughts from children, teenagers, and adults. Posters, signs, flyers, or small “democracy snacks” are created and distributed throughout the neighborhood, showing that democracy has many voices and languages.

Ina Hengstler is an artist, designer, and art educator. She develops diverse educational formats and works interdisciplinarily in analog black-and-white photography, experimental typography, bookbinding, and editorial and communication design. Her projects connect artistic practice, design, and participatory mediation. Her pedagogical work aims to actively involve participants in aesthetic experiences, encourage them to discover their own artistic forms of expression, and foster experimental exploration.
