Meinungsbox mit Nadine Kolodziey #7

The Meinungsbox (opinion box) is conceived as a temporary cultural kiosk in public space—a place for exchange, participation, and democratic dialogue. Visitors are invited to share their thoughts, questions, and perspectives, becoming part of a growing collective archive. #7

At its core is the idea of making democracy visible as a living practice in everyday life. The Meinungsbox creates an accessible space where different voices can be heard and individual contributions come together to form a shared picture of the city’s community.

The kiosk itself is designed as an artistic landscape and walk-in world that also functions as a display: contributions, thoughts, and visual elements become part of the environment, inviting people to pause, read, respond, and add new impulses. In this way, a space for inspiration and encounter emerges—one that encourages exchange, listening, and further reflection. The Meinungsbox understands democracy as an open process—multi-voiced, evolving, and shaped by the people who take part.

Nadine Kolodziey is an artist based in Frankfurt and Berlin. She works at the intersection of digital and analog media with the aim of creating immersive visual experiences. Her work may be digital, hand-cut, melted, or realized as walk-in installations. She is interested in new challenges and is currently exploring augmented reality (AR). Kolodziey has worked with clients such as Apple, Uber, Google, YouTube, PAGE, and Die Zeit. Since 2018, she has been a lecturer in contemporary illustration at the HfG Offenbach University of Art and Design. She is an alumna of the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes) and a member of the Berlin artists’ network Saloon, the Media Art Association Berlin, and the Virtual Reality Association. She has been an Adobe Creative Resident and was featured as an artist in Apple’s Behind the Mac campaign.
