Join in with “Good Question!”: Open the web application directly in your browser at on your smartphone, tablet or desktop. On site at the DemokratieKioske, you can also access the application via QR code.

Your answer becomes part of a growing snapshot of opinions and helps make visible which topics matter to people in your city and region. The application features 50 curated democracy questions for people under and over the age of 20. The tool invites users to reflect on everyday life, urban living and social issues, to share their views and discover new perspectives. In this way, the web app complements the on-site participation formats with a digital space for exchange.

The web application is continuously being developed: In the second expansion phase, we plan to add an exchange function that will allow users to react to other opinions – through voting or, in the future, even through comments. We also want to make the results accessible live: filterable by age groups, topic categories and locations.

The web app was created as part of a university project. We were particularly impressed by Amelia Lobo’s concept! Amelia is currently looking for an internship in the field of design, UX/UI or digital design; we are happy to pass on any leads. Special thanks go to Steffen Klaue, Professor at the University of Applied Sciences Europe, and Matthias Kallenbach for programming, implementation and support!

Democracy Kiosks is a project by Lust auf besser leben, initiated by designer Elisabeth Budde, Director RheinMain of the German Design Club (DDC), and Felix Kosok, former member of the DDC board.
