Organism democracy is a practice in which all species living in urban areas are recognised as citizens. Representative species from seven organism groups, selected by lot and supplemented by neobiota, are represented by human representatives in a parliament and negotiate interests, conflicts and rules on the basis of a common constitution. Club Real, founded in Berlin in 2000, realises participatory, site-specific projects that invite active participation in shaping new forms of coexistence through installations, role-playing games and performative formats.

The lecture marks the start of Frankfurt Organism Democracy as part of the World Design Capital 2026 project, a collaboration between Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Club Real and the Senckenberg Society, and invites us to rethink the city as a more-than-human space of political participation.

The lecture is recognised by the Chamber of Architects of Hesse with two continuing professional development (CPD) points.
