August 2026
The WDC Campus is a key flagship initiative of World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 and a showcase for young designers and researchers. Students, educators, and start-ups present projects that explore questions of shaping our collective future.
The highlight is the WDC Campus exhibition, which will take place from 03. July to 09. August at the Museum Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt. The exhibition will showcase open-disciplinary projects by young talents under the WDC theme “Design for Democracy: Atmospheres for a better life”. It will open with the three-day WDC Campus Festival, bringing together students, universities and industry. From 22 April onwards, weekly dialogue workshops will also offer a programme of interactive sessions, panels and excursions.
The WDC Campus is conceived not merely as an exhibition venue, but as a vibrant space for experimentation. It is a place where ideas are tested, perspectives exchanged, and new collaborations initiated. Emerging designers from the fields of design, architecture and science engage directly with society, business and politics, demonstrating the vital role that design can play in shaping a democratic future.
