The 48h Filmathon brings together students from Hochschule RheinMain (HSRM) and the Hessian University of Public Management and Security (HöMS) to develop and produce several short films of different genres on the theme of diversity within 48 hours.

After an initial networking meeting, the participants work in small teams. They receive various props and short pieces of information as creative starting points and then go through the concept development phase, filming, and editing together. The goal is to produce completed films that will later be screened at the Caligari Film Theatre in Wiesbaden. A selection of the films will also be presented at the WDC Campus Festival in July 2026 at the Museum Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt am Main.

Dates:

  • 29 April 2026: Networking meeting for participating students from both universities at the HöMS campus in Wiesbaden.
  • 5–7 May 2026: The 48h Filmathon takes place mainly at Hochschule RheinMain, Campus Unter den Eichen.
  • 19 May 2026, 18:00–20:00: Screening of the films at the Caligari Film Theatre in Wiesbaden.
