Design Meets Kitchen Talks Common Cooking in not a kitchen. As part of the WDC Campus exhibition dreams, ideas & prototypes at the Museum Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt, the NGO initiative Über den Tellerrand is activating the not a kitchen space in Metzlerpark.
The Sultanita Band will play while you cook together and during the dancing afterwards.
Here you can get into the mood for the evening.
The kitchen serves as a central hub for coming together on equal footing. Über den Tellerrand creates spaces for connection, fostering dialogue between people from diverse backgrounds while cooking and dining.
This event is supported by wines from the VDP winery Zur Schwane in Volkach.
The kitchen serves as a central hub for sharing and discussing as equals.
As part of WDC 2026, Über den Tellerrand organized the community project "Kitchen on the Run" from May to June.
The not a kitchen project is an open space for social interaction, created at Mainz University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Mainz) within the Interior Architecture workshops led by Mathias Ewald and Michael Bensch. Supervising professors and lecturers: Prof. Dr. Marta Pelegrín Rodríguez, Prof. Lutz Büsing, Prof. Alexa Hartig, Bruno Johannbroer, and Anh Quynh Pham.
The event is free of charge.
