The Okeanos Foundation has developed a method for teaching cooperative interaction and collective teamwork while the team is on a sailing trip.

Jana Steingässer, Kurt Friedrich, and the Okeanos Foundation show how sailing boats become laboratories for marine conservation, climate education, and social skills. Young people work together in confined spaces, learn consideration, communication, and joint decision-making, while developing projects on ocean and climate protection, sustainable mobility, and socio-ecological transformation.
