Vortrag: display – A third space for digital experience

The event begins with a guided tour of the exhibition. Afterwards, Alexander Korolkov and Alexander Roidl from NODE, Verein zur Förderung Digitaler Kultur e.V., will give a talk at the WDC Hub in the Museum of Applied Arts, Frankfurt.

How can we tackle the growing number of vacant shop premises in the city centre? NODE is leading the way: in collaboration with the City of Frankfurt’s Smart City Unit, the association has transformed a vacant premises into an open space. This ‘Third Space’ is a digital playground where anyone can learn or develop digital skills in a completely ‘analogue’ way.

In their talk, Korolkov and Roidl will look back at the origins of ‘display’ and provide an overview of the diverse programme to date.

The event concludes with a hands-on activity: using a handheld laser printer, participants can print on pieces of paper, T-shirts they’ve brought along or cloth bags.

Admission to the guided tour of the exhibition and the talk is free of charge.
