The initiative Marktplatz Oberursel: lively, open, in the heart of the town! is handing over the first 10 individually designed Babbel benches at Oberursel’s marketplace, together with the Oberursel Workshops. (In case of rain, the handover will take place at Friseursalon Ruppel.)

All Babbel benches were crafted by the Oberursel Workshops, with each seat personalised through laser-engraved words, names, or short messages reflecting the place or the commitment of the supporters. The proceeds from the orders go entirely to the Oberursel Workshops, so every Babbel bench directly supports their work while creating a visible space for people to meet and connect.

The handover is intentionally kept informal – a shared moment for conversation, exchange, and a quick glimpse at how an idea can grow into tangible places for community interaction. Step by step, the Babbel benches are finding their way into clubs, initiatives, and businesses – and in doing so, making their core values visible: listening, respect, visibility, and diversity.
