How can democracy be made visible? Students explore questions about democracy, participation, and living together through art and develop their own perspectives in the form of creative works.
A collaborative project has emerged around the Babbelbank, in which young voices find their own means of expression. The exhibition is on display in the windows of the city library overlooking the market square. This creates a direct connection between art and public space—visible to everyone who walks by, stops to look, or strikes up a conversation.
The Babbelbank also plays a role in this format: It marks the space for exchange and invites people to engage in conversation about the students’ artwork, thoughts, and questions. In this way, democracy isn’t merely explained— it becomes visible through art, through perspectives, and through young voices right in the heart of Oberursel.
