The Schiedscafé is intentionally accessible: no podium, no jargon. Instead, it’s an open exchange—listening, asking questions, and developing solutions together.
The event features people who can help with exactly that:
- Dr. Erik Pöttker, Stellvertretender Amtsdirektor des Amtsgerichts Bad Homburg
- Ina Selzer, local community police officer
- Representatives of the Oberursel Municipal Police
- Mediators from Oberursel, Northern Mediation District and Southern Mediation District
- Mediators from Frankfurt
No institutions “from above,” but rather people you can talk to.
The Babbelbank is the starting point here, too. Anyone who sits down there will strike up a conversation—about experiences, expectations, and how we can treat each other better in everyday life.
This creates a space where it becomes clear: Democracy doesn’t begin with major conflicts—but with cooperation, listening, and timely dialogue.
