Wanderkino: Laster der Nacht #1

For more than 25 years, Tobias Rank has been travelling the country in his bright red Magirus Deutz to present film enthusiasts with an alternative to glossy Hollywood cinema. He provides live musical accompaniment on the piano – together with Waltraut Elvers (viola) – to slapstick comedies, epic films and even films from the independent and avant-garde scenes of the silent film era.

This late summer, at the invitation of Centralstation, the old fire truck will be parked at various locations in Darmstadt. The screen will be set up, the projector installed, and then, on four evenings, it’s ‘action’ for a cinema experience of a very special kind! The films will start at nightfall.
