The Association for International Forest Art presents the 13th International Forest Art Path, Democratic Forest, from August 22 to October 4, 2026, in the forest at Böllenfalltor, as well as the Digital Forest at the International Forest Art Center. Around 40 artists will present approximately 20 installations, along with 20 performances, activities, and workshops.

At the pavilion, the association will host two discussion sessions: Democratic Forest at 3 pm and Democratic Food at 4 pm. The workshop The Democracy Tree – Your Voice Counts, led by Sehriban Köksal Kurt, takes place from 2 to 5 pm. The tree is located at the Forest Art Center and will be filled with the texts created during the workshop.

The forest thrives on diversity: every tree is unique, yet connected to others. Democracy, too, is shaped by different voices, ideas, and wishes. In this workshop, you can share what matters to you, what gives you hope, or what you would like to change. Write your thoughts on a leaf and add your voice to the Democracy Tree. Together, we will create a tree that symbolizes diversity, solidarity, and community. Every voice counts.

For the Democratic Forest discussion, we invite forest artists including Uli Muders, Sehriban Köksal Kurt, and Spora Studio (USA), our artists-in-residence. They will present the overall project and discuss what a Democratic Forest can be.

Democratic Food, an Eat Art project by Ute Ritschel, presents Eat Art photo series featuring found and familiar foods, created since 2025 as part of the WDC.
