What does diversity taste like? Which spices remind us of home, and which tell stories of other cultures? In this interactive workshop, students explore how food connects people and makes cultural diversity tangible.
Starting with their personal favourite spices, participants engage in conversation, exchange experiences, and get to know different food cultures. Together, they create individual spice blends and use them to prepare delicious dishes. In the process, they discover new worlds of flavour while putting democratic values into practice: different perspectives become visible, are appreciated, and are discussed openly.
Target group: Classes or students from Year 7 onwards (including mixed-age groups), with a maximum of 20 participants plus one accompanying teacher.
Dates
- Wednesday, 9 September, 9:00–11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
- Thursday, 10 September, 9:00–11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
