With AN ALLE!, visitors can use their own smartphones to leave digital traces in real-world locations. They can create drawings, place photographs, write comments, or position virtual sculptures and other artistic works. These contributions remain visible at their respective locations and can be discovered and commented on by others.
This creates a collectively shaped virtual public space where artistic interventions, personal perspectives, and social questions come together.
Alongside this participatory offer to the urban community, three virtual works by artists and art students from the HfG Offenbach will be presented. The works explore democratic spaces and the democratization of urban space.
At the heart of the project is a political question: Who owns the digital public space, and who gets to shape it? While tech companies are already developing technologies that will expand our perception of public space through augmented reality, we do not want this future space to be shaped solely by commercial interests.
AN ALLE! invites visitors to explore the possibilities of this space themselves while reflecting on its social, political, and design implications. The pavilion thus becomes an open experimental space: not just a place to look, but a space to participate in and shape.
