Wortumdrehung: Poetry Slam Workshop für Jugendliche mit Dirk Hülstrunk (2)

Are you excited to play with language? Do you want to write your own texts, poems, stories, or rap lyrics, rhyme, or freestyle? Would you like to take the stage with a microphone in hand? Then the poetry slam workshop “Wortumdrehung” is the place for you.

Here, you can develop ideas, learn how to write compelling and original texts, and practise performing them under real stage conditions. Topics include: the background and rules of poetry slam, writing and refining texts for performance, voice and stage presence, microphone technique, and managing stage nerves.

The workshop is open to beginners as well as more experienced participants who want constructive feedback and want to improve their performance skills. It is primarily aimed at young people aged 15–25, though older participants may be considered if there is space.

Dirk Hülstrunk is an author, audio artist, lecturer, presenter and cultural activist. He organises workshops, poetry projects at book fairs, literature podcasts and the reading series ‘Schnittstellen’.
