“New Neues Frankfurt – Musterhaus für eine bessere Zukunft” is a collaborative project with Studio Jonathan Radetz.

Since August 2025, designer Jonathan Radetz and his team have been working on furnishing small floor plans in the design lab at mayhaus. This has resulted in new furniture that will be on display in the mayhaus spaces starting in May. To determine whether the new furniture works, it will be tested in advance. To this end, we are setting up a new model apartment at the mayhaus, which will be available for trial occupancy over two weekends in April. The winner of the trial stay will be determined by a drawing conducted by Petra Manahl of the State Initiative Großer Frankfurter Bogen (GFB) of the Hessian Ministry of Economics.

If you’d still like to enter your ticket into the drawing, you’ll have the chance to do so shortly before the event.

Jonathan Radetz is a multidisciplinary designer based in Frankfurt. His experience as a cabinet maker and product designer finds expression in his versatile work, ranging from furniture design to accessories and fine jewellery.

The ernst-may-gesellschaft was founded in 2003 by concerned citizens; as an association, its mission is to document and preserve “New Frankfurt” and to bring it into the current discourse on architecture and urban planning.
