A hands-on workshop for the whole family! Children and adults are invited to weave a colorful wall tapestry together. Each family, child, and adult contributes their own knot. Playfully, we explore the meaning of community and togetherness—drawing inspiration from Jewish traditions. The workshop takes place during the Museumsuferfest and serves as an introduction to the upcoming festival of Sukkot. The finished tapestry will later decorate our sukkah.
Jessica Ostrowicz comes from an Eastern European Jewish family and grew up in London. Her artistic work explores transgenerational trauma, family history, and the question of how a sense of home can be (re)established. Her experience as an art teacher in a prison has profoundly shaped her perspective on these themes.
Admission is free. We kindly ask you to register in advance by August 25, 2026 at: besuch.jmf@stadt-frankfurt.de
The Jewish Museum Frankfurt makes the diversity of Jewish cultures in history and the present tangible. To this end, it collects, preserves and researches cultural assets and testimonies of Jewish life in Frankfurt. Through its art and cultural history exhibitions, educational programmes and digital offerings – as well as its commitment to experimental formats – the Jewish Museum Frankfurt aims to be a museum without walls.
