In keeping with the Beastie Boys spirit of the exhibition “MISHPOCHA. The Art of Collaboration”, this night at the Jewish Museum, in collaboration with the IMA Clique, will be held under the motto “No Sleep Till Frankfurt.”
From 7 p.m. to midnight, we offer short guided tours of the temporary exhibition every hour on the hour, each concluding with participants’ own beat experiments in the Play Room. Starting at 9 p.m., Abraham and Flippo, also known as “Pretty Smiles,” will get the hall moving with their signature sound—a mix of house, hip-hop, and future beats. From 9:30 p.m., they will be joined live by Max Grund on guitar and additional musicians on keys, saxophone, and drums. Alongside numerous guided tours on various topics and in different languages through the permanent exhibition, drawing workshops in the library—open until 11 p.m.—offer a quiet retreat. The Life Deli will provide creative culinary offerings throughout the night.
The Jewish Museum Frankfurt makes the diversity of Jewish cultures in history and the present tangible. To this end, it collects, preserves and researches cultural assets and testimonies of Jewish life in Frankfurt. Through its art and cultural history exhibitions, educational programmes and digital offerings – as well as its commitment to experimental formats – the Jewish Museum Frankfurt aims to be a museum without walls.
