Letters, Shapes, and Typography—From Character to Poster

Whether in books, in the urban landscape, or on a smartphone: we read texts, yet we rarely pay attention to their visual appearance. That is why, in this course, we will take a closer look at type. Here, you will gain a deeper understanding of type as a powerful medium of expression and develop your first typographic design—that is, a design created using typefaces. By working with type in various styles, sizes, and colors—cut out, pasted, or painted—and even incorporating scripts from other languages—you will create exciting posters that are sure to surprise others.

Dates: July 6 – July 10, 2026 (daily from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
