Designkiosk

The Design Kiosk is an intervention in an urban space in the Rhine-Main area that is perceived as neglected. It offers services in the fields of social work, education, product design, art and cultural leisure activities for the local community. Its aim is to bring together people who would not otherwise meet and exchange ideas.

The kiosk space already exists or will be set up as a temporary structure in public space as part of the project. These spaces are centrally located in the neighbourhood, easily accessible and serve as a starting point for various projects in the neighbourhood. Research and development on creative and cultural practices for our democracy take place here. Tours, discussion formats, workshops, readings, lectures and exhibitions are planned. Here, the democracy of the future is conceived, experimented with, designed and celebrated. The focus is on exploring and archiving urban and social spaces in approximately ten cities.

Emre Yazar Product Design & Art (E Y P D & A) is an independent studio for design and art in Mannheim.

The office provides space for cross-sector collaboration in research, development and implementation. This is intended to contribute to the promotion of a positive and visionary culture of innovation.
