The Designkiosk is an artistic intervention in the public space of the Senefelderquartier in Offenbach. Serving as a mobile hub, it creates a starting point where people can gather—either intentionally or by chance—to view their surroundings in a new light and take action together. In cooperation with the City of Offenbach, the project invites people to explore the neighbourhood from a design perspective and contribute their own ideas.
As part of the Designkiosk series, various formats are being trialled that combine movement, dialogue, and creative work. This particular event focuses on a collaborative art discussion at the Senefelderquartier neighbourhood office: places and atmospheres will be discussed that lend themselves to artistic interpretation. Which materials are suitable for this? And what can be designed? Urban space offers a perfect canvas to be performatively interpreted and rendered visible.
The process will be guided by designer and artist Emre Yazar, who will support participants in bringing their ideas to life and provide impulses for collective design. The event is open to anyone interested—no prior experience is required, and participation is free of charge. The goal is to open up creative approaches to the neighbourhood and to strengthen public space as a site for exchange and collaborative creation.
