Designkiosk – Workshop #3
The Design Kiosk is an artistic intervention in the public space of the Senefelder district in Offenbach. As a mobile meeting point, it creates a starting place where people come together—intentionally or by chance—to perceive their surroundings in new ways and become active collectively. In collaboration with the City of Offenbach, the project invites participants to explore the neighborhood from a design perspective and contribute their own ideas.
As part of the Design Kiosk series, various formats are being explored that combine movement, exchange and creative work. This session focuses on a shared art discussion at Kiosk Uzumumba (Musicians’ Quarter), where places and atmospheres that can be approached artistically will be discussed. Which materials are suitable for this? And what can be created? The urban space lends itself to being interpreted performatively and made visible.
The process is guided by designer and artist Emre Yazar, who supports participants in developing their ideas and offers impulses for collective design. The program is open to everyone—no prior experience is required, and participation is free of charge. Its aim is to open up creative approaches to the neighborhood and to strengthen public space as a site of exchange and collaborative creation.
