Expanding his artistic project “Mischpoche. Being Jewish, however,” photographer Jan Zappner met Mike Diamond (Beastie Boys) in August 2025 during the preparations for the exhibition “MISHPOCHA.” The two went for a walk along the Main and talked about questions of belonging, heritage, and family. In a joint Artist Talk, they reflect on this encounter and share their thoughts with the audience.
Jan Zappner is a freelance photographer based in Berlin. Mike Diamond was a member of the Beastie Boys and will return to the stage in 2026 with a new album.
