Ohne Chefs – Demokratie bei der Arbeit

On this evening, Lea Herlitz and Patrick Fischer invite you to a screening of the documentary No Bosses – Democracy at Work. In his film, director Mario Burbach explores the question of how work can function without traditional hierarchies. What is it like when all employees participate equally in business decisions? What does it mean to reach collective decisions together? And could a workplace without bosses be a model for the future?

For the documentary, Mario Burbach spoke with self-organised businesses and collectives across Germany. Following the screening, Lea Herlitz and Patrick Fischer invite the audience to share their own experiences with hierarchical workplace structures and discuss the opportunities and challenges of alternative forms of organisation. And who knows – perhaps a collective might even join us in person.

The cinema evening No Bosses with Lea Herlitz and Patrick Fischer is one of four selected projects from the “Wetter Mi” Open Call on this year’s theme, Cycles. Starting in April, one Open Call project will be presented on the last Wednesday of each month.
