Tam Wine
...
At Farbe-des-Weines, we see the wine bottle as more than a conventional object for recycling. For us, it is the starting point for upcycling, art, and new creative ideas. Everyone knows empty bottles. What becomes truly exciting is the moment when their shape, color, surface, and history are transformed into something entirely new.
Our workshop explores how wine bottles can be used far beyond their original purpose. Through engraving, they become artistic objects with structure, depth, and personality. Selected bottles are transformed not only into glasses or vessels, but also into light objects, small installations, or lamps, where glass, reflection, and the interplay of color take center stage. Especially fascinating is the material itself: green and clear glass can alter light, space, and atmosphere in remarkable ways.
Working with fragments also opens up creative possibilities. Parts of wine bottles can be turned into pictures, collages, or broken-glass artworks, in which transparency, edges, and color tones are used deliberately as artistic elements. In this way, the wine bottle becomes a canvas, a material, and a medium of creative expression.
This workshop brings together material exploration, sustainability, and art. It is not simply about making something new from a bottle, but about giving it a new meaning. The result is a collection of objects that unite design, craftsmanship, and artistic vision.
