Claim the space: FLINTA* Design Workshop with the collective “The Flying S”

Together we create public spaces of retreat and gathering for FLINTA*. In our workshops, we explore places of comfort and safe spaces, reflect on where and how we want to occupy space, and build prototypical places to stay in public space using flexible materials. Through exchange, networking, and participatory design, a community emerges based on our needs—strengthening presence, initiative, and empowerment.

The collective “Das Fliegende S” designs (im)material spaces and participation processes with a focus on social and ecological sustainability. At the intersection of art, design, urban research, and social practice, we develop formats such as situational and open-ended interactions as well as experimental building practices. Through specially developed methods of performative and speculative design, we make spatial potentials visible and involve people in low-threshold creative processes.
