Does our democracy need rebranding? Or even a complete overhaul? What forms should tomorrow's co-decision-making take if everyone is to be involved? It's about digital worlds and real encounters, about fair structures, creative urban planning and participatory art – in short, about everything that brings our democratic coexistence to life.
Frankfurt RheinMain will hold the title of ‘World Design Capital’ in 2026. The Junge Akademie Frankfurt is therefore thinking about the connection between ‘good design’ and democracy. Are you in?

Junge Akademie Frankfurt is a project of the Protestant Academy Frankfurt and the Hessian State Agency for Civic Education. Since 2017, we have been awarding 30 people under the age of 30 with an honorary scholarship every year. Together, we create space for innovative projects that bring democracy to life and strengthen it.
In 2026, the Young Academy Frankfurt will take place in cooperation with World Design Capital 2026.
