Constructlab (Ariane Caillaud, Inna Zrajaeva, Jojanneke van Duijn, Adriana Blanco)

...

Together with the designers from Constructlab, students will explore the potential of local materials sourced from nature, everyday life, and local businesses. They will discover how these materials can be creatively transformed using simple, sustainable techniques. Depending on the group, participants may create natural dyes for colouring wool or fabric, (woven) textiles, or other handcrafted objects. A material-collecting walk through the city can also be part of the workshop.

The workshops are tailored to the students' age and interests, combining hands-on experimentation with a playful introduction to sustainability, material research, and design. All workshops are held in English and are highly practice-based, making them accessible even to participants with limited English skills.

Target group: Primary school, lower and upper secondary school (Grades 1–12); basic English skills are helpful but not required.
