From 19 to 20 August 2026, the WDC Pavillon will be located in the garden of Brömserburg Castle in Rüdesheimam Rhein, serving as an open space for encounter, creativity, and lived democracy.
Nestled between the vineyards, the Rhine River, and Rüdesheim’s historic old town, the pavilion becomes a vibrant meeting place for local residents, school groups, associations, and visitors. Workshops, concerts, artist residencies, and spontaneous encounters invite everyone to reflect together on public space, regional identity, and sustainable design.
At the heart of the programme is the residency by Ariane Caillaud, Inna Zrajajeva, Johanneka van Duijn, and Adriana Blanco. Under the theme "Drying – Capturing the Shadows of Local Organic Matter," the international team explores the materials and landscapes of the Rheingau through artistic research and collaborative making.
All activities at the WDC Pavilion are free of charge, barrier-free, and open to people of all ages.
