In October 2026, the results of the entire project will be presented in the reading room and made available to the public. At this closing event, the findings from the previous workshops and the ongoing artistic research will be presented in the form of a four-part intervention in knowledge production and opened up for discussion.

This presentation is not intended to be merely a presentation, but rather an open space for exchange and encounter. On display will be the migration experiences artistically documented in Workshop 1, the critical spatial analyses of the reception camps from Workshop 2, and the theoretical reflections on the post-East context developed in the reading room. Through a diverse interplay of different formats, from installations, readings and discussions to performative elements, the collected stories, analyses and alternative narratives will be presented to a broad audience. The aim is not only to provide insights into processes and results, but also to open up new perspectives on topics such as migration, space and memory, and to actively promote dialogue with visitors.

The project examines the democratic participation of people from Post-East regions in the Rhine-Main area and questions stereotypical representations of identity in public spaces. Its goal is to make their social engagement visible and to achieve broader societal recognition.
