The world is becoming ever more digital – fascinating for some, but creating everyday barriers for others. Fortunately, Offenbach offers free services where people can get help with questions about smartphones and more. Many take place in public venues such as senior centres or the adult education centre and are supported by volunteers.

Young people who are especially interested in the digital world and want to experiment with coding and making can turn to places such as the Jugend hackt Lab at Stadtbibliothek Offenbach, where volunteer mentors are also involved.

On Wednesday, 18 February, from 14:00 – 16:00, we will present all these and other services on the ground floor of the Stadtbibliothek Offenbach (Herrnstraße 84). If all goes to plan, there will also be a small hands-on activity. Potential volunteers and other interested visitors can ask questions about the support services and meet the contact people in person.

Step-free access to the reading café in the adult library on the ground floor is available.

Barrier-free access is available. The event is free of charge. We chat in German and perhaps other languages as well.

The Offenbach Volunteer Centre provides advice and assistance on all matters relating to volunteering and community involvement, encouraging Offenbach residents of all ages to get involved and participate. The event is organised in cooperation with various departments of the Stadt Offenbach am Main.
