Architektur als Zeichen der Integration? Besuch einer Moschee in ihrem Aufbau

The history of architecture shows that social and political changes inevitably have an impact on building developments. This also applies to the construction of mosques.

The traditional form, familiar to many Muslims from their countries of origin, can no longer be applied in this way, as builders face different challenges. This can lead to visionary designs, such as those currently being realised by the Bosnian Cultural Centre Frankfurt in Rödelheim.

‘Religions in Frankfurt’, in collaboration with the Bosnian Cultural Centre Frankfurt, is hosting a panel discussion featuring Said Ceric, the chairman, the architect and those involved in the construction project, to discuss the challenges that will shape the construction of the new mosque in the future.

The BKC received the Frankfurt Integration Prize in 2019. It is actively involved in Christian-Islamic working groups, interfaith dialogue projects and Christian-Jewish-Muslim reconciliation work.
