Misfits` Gaze | THEIRstory

The programme exclusively features works by FLINTA* artists—offering an alternative to societal norms and amplifying voices that are too rarely heard. The concerts, performed by musicians from the Broken Frames Syndicate, take place in the foyer of the Frankfurt City Library and at the Klingspor Museum in Offenbach. Within a parallel world of inflatable objects, the diversity of contemporary music-making and of our society is celebrated.

Accompanying educational formats provide insights into intersectional feminism and combine research with art and music. In collaboration with the Archiv Frau & Musik, a collection of materials as well as an audio guide is being developed. Informational content is made available at specially designed, interactive info stations—allowing the audience to create their own individual concert introduction at any time and to learn more about feminism and contemporary music.

The series consists of four curated individual events focusing on different thematic areas. Additional lectures by Archiv Frau & Musik introduce open discussion rounds on each topic. Together, the interdisciplinary team creates creative, public spaces for encounter, where discourse on complex issues becomes possible.
