Vogelhaus Bau Workshop mit Pete Christie

Together with the artist Pete Christie, you’ll be building nesting boxes for local birds. In cities in particular, there’s often a lack of old trees, hollows and hedges for them to hide in.

Through ‘Joy for All’ and teamwork, you’ll create your own birdhouses, promoting biodiversity and creating new habitats for urban birds. Using wood, tools and traditional craft techniques, you’ll build safe nesting sites for small birds during the breeding season. Children will discover the basics of architecture and how to use tools, whilst boosting their self-confidence through their own creative work. The wood comes from the ‘Material for All’ material cycle.
