Breaking Battle an der Langen Bank

For the third consecutive year, the Frankfurt Brudi Breaking Battle brings the energy of breaking, street culture and community to the Lange Bank at Kulturcampus Bockenheim. As part of the WDC 2026 programme, the event invites dancers, artists and the wider public to come together, participate and experience the vibrant culture of breaking in an open and welcoming environment.

At the heart of the event are the breaking battles, featuring Kids Battles, 1 vs. 1 B-Girl Battles and 2 vs. 2 Pro Battles. Dancers of different ages and experience levels will meet on the dance floor, showcasing their creativity, musicality, individuality and skills. The battles are accompanied by DJ F-One, while hosts Shayan and Gier guide the audience through the programme and create the atmosphere that makes the event a shared experience for both participants and spectators.

Beyond the battles, the programme explores the wider dimensions of urban culture. A live graffiti action will transform the surroundings of the Lange Bank into a temporary canvas, connecting visual art with movement and music. Visitors can also take part in free dance sessions, creating space for spontaneous exchange, practice and shared movement outside the competition format.

As part of the Urban Lab, a mobile buffet will provide an additional meeting point for the community. Food, music, dance and visual art come together to create an open social space where people can connect, exchange ideas and experience the Kulturcampus from different perspectives.

The Frankfurt Brudi Breaking Battle celebrates breaking as a living culture: inclusive, creative and rooted in community. It invites everyone – from experienced dancers to curious newcomers and passers-by – to join, watch, dance and become part of the experience.
