Public Space

In the spirit of the regulars' table concept, the WDC regulars' table Public Space also emphasises open exchange and networking.

This time, we are hosting the regulars' table together with the Making Frankfurt initiative and using the premises of basis e.V. The focus is particularly on actors and projects that deal with the field of public space. We come together in a relaxed atmosphere and exchange ideas about collaborations and exciting projects that show how the design of public spaces can promote community and social cohesion.

The participants in the Making Frankfurt initiative are involved in several WDC projects and will in particular introduce the Off The Wall project in Frankfurt's Wallanlagen park at this regulars' table.

The Making Frankfurt initiative was started by a group of energetic and well-connected people who have been working since 2020 to make their city more liveable. Most of them come from creative disciplines and meet weekly to develop and implement concrete ideas for Frankfurt. In doing so, they engage in an active exchange with other initiatives as well as with politicians and administrators. They want to raise awareness of the city's untapped potential and work together with citizens on feasible ideas for developing vibrant urban spaces.
