Make your own impact visible: Introduction to impact management
We’ll dive into the world of impact management. The first part of the session focuses on understanding the fundamentals of impact management and measurement: Which methods and tools are available? What are their strengths and limitations? What does impact-oriented project management mean in practice? And how can I communicate the impact of my work?
Using practical examples and methods from the work of Acker e.V. and other organisations, we’ll explore how impact management can be efficiently integrated into day-to-day operations. The aim is to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills to manage projects in a targeted and sustainable way.
In the second part, leonardo will provide a detailed introduction to the WDC Impact Dashboard. This software solution enables WDC stakeholders to efficiently collect, analyse, validate and visualise impact data for monitoring and reporting purposes.
Dr. Sabine Topf (Hamburg) contributes her expertise as Head of Research at Acker Impact, drawing on her background as both an engineer and psychologist, as well as her experience as a facilitator and trainer. As a researcher, exploring the relationship between cause and effect in interventions is her daily business. She brings a wide-ranging command of both qualitative and quantitative research methods and has many years of experience teaching statistics and data visualisation.
Liana Heinrich (Munich) is an experienced impact management consultant. She holds an MBA in Digital Transformation and has over 20 years of experience across business, NGOs and public administration. Her key areas of expertise include developing impact strategies and theories of change, building impact management systems and communicating impact both internally and externally.
Dr. Jan Moellmann (Frankfurt) is co-founder and CEO of leonardo. impact. Building on many years of practical and academic experience in the field of impact measurement, he founded leonardo to make reliable impact management more accessible to mission-driven organisations and their funders through technological solutions.
