All aboard! How to bring in – and keep – volunteers
Volunteers play a vital role in many projects – but how can we successfully involve them? This talk from the Offenbach Volunteer Centre will focus on the basics of effective volunteer coordination: How do you find the right volunteers? What makes a good task description? Who should be involved – and what about insurance and commitment? You’ll gain insights into proven volunteer coordination structures as well as practical tools to support you in engaging volunteers.
You’ll also get hands-on: In a short exercise, you’ll develop initial ideas for how and where volunteers can be effectively involved in your projects. Whether short-term or long-term, online or on-site – volunteering needs a framework and space. This talk will show how volunteer coordination can create these conditions.
Speaker: The Offenbach Volunteer Centre is a hub and network partner for voluntary engagement. It supports people in finding the right volunteering opportunities and in making a meaningful contribution. At the same time, it helps organisations and companies to recruit volunteers, provide strong support and create sustainable structures for volunteer coordination.
