Students from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences are bringing the Nepalese Phalcha to Frankfurt.

In the Taunusanlage, a modern interpretation of the structure is creating a space for people to meet and engage in democratic dialogue. Made from sustainable, circular materials, the temporary structure can also be reused in other locations.

How hot does our city really get — and what does that mean for how we live in it? On a participatory walk through the Wallanlagen in Frankfurt, we explore the city’s microclimate in a hands-on way. We look at vegetation, sense temperature differences, identify urban heat hotspots, and reflect together on smart strategies for a more climate-resilient and future-ready city.
