Where the city wall once stood, the Frankfurt ramparts now lie – a space between history, the present, and the future, as well as a green belt in downtown Frankfurt. As a connecting link between the city districts and the center, they will become a place of leisure, exchange, and participation for WDC 2026 in cooperation with colleges, universities, institutions, and interested citizens from the Rhine-Main area. The kick-off event will take place on 30 October 2025 at 7 p.m. at the German Architecture Museum in Frankfurt. Guests are invited to an evening lecture entitled "Democracy and the City.
