Ausstellungseröffnung HOCHHEIM:WEINFESTSELIG

The exhibition “HOCHHEIM:WEINFESTSELIG” offers a multi-layered perspective on the Hochheim Wine Festival – an event that has shaped the cultural life of the town for decades.

At its core are historical photographs, complemented by personal memories and narrative perspectives. They reveal not only the visible aspects of the festival, but also the people, rituals, and atmospheres that define it. The exhibition creates a vivid connection between past and present.

The exhibition is part of the project Schaukasten.Stadt – a participatory digital platform that invites citizens to contribute their own content. Photographs, videos, audio recordings, and texts expand perspectives on the city and make history tangible as something collectively created and constantly evolving. The exhibition connects these contributions with curated materials from the collections of the Hochheim Museums and the Municipal Archive.

The opening event offers a first opportunity to explore the exhibition and engage in dialogue about the role of the wine festival today. It also marks the beginning of an accompanying programme including guided tours, workshops, and participatory formats throughout the festival.

Admission to the exhibition is free.
