Design is a cultural field of activity that is strongly defined by established role models and gender attributions.

This applies both to work processes (structures, hierarchies) and to results (products, works, processes, etc.). Conferences in general, and design conferences in particular, are usually dominated by men. DESIGN=FEMINISM has turned this around. This lecture series considers design practice as a female and/or feminist activity.
