Re-Negotiating Space

Re-Negotiating Space (RNS) is a series of dialogues, interactions, and interventions exploring democratic instruments for renegotiating urban spaces between human and planetary needs.

The starting point is the observation that since 2020, anthropogenic mass—that is, human-made mass—has exceeded all living biomass on our planet. This imbalance requires new approaches, methods, and tools to address it through active engagement of planetary perspectives as well as all population groups. The aim is to transform conventional urban governance models into a form of urban-ecological democracy.
