Affordable housing, climate-friendly construction, and the question of who decides on our built environment are among the most pressing social challenges of our time. What role do building and housing cooperatives play? How do we want to develop cities? And how can we create healthy, sustainable, and at the same time affordable living spaces?
Drawing on selected artworks from the exhibition “How Do We Want to Live?”, we invite you to a discussion on the economic, social, and ecological conditions shaping the future of building and housing. Insights from Paola Alfaro d’Alençon, professor of urban planning at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Karsten Eiß of the Schwäbisch Hall Foundation, and Silke Remmel, an interior architect specializing in healthy building, will offer diverse perspectives on the topics of urban development, architecture, the common good, and participation.
