At the Frankfurt urban farm run by the Gemüseheld:innen, a "Green Room" is set to be created with the help of numerous volunteers: a place for education, dialogue, and positive visions of the future. Through public hands-on activities, everyone is pitching in together!

Here, more than 30 volunteers garden collectively according to permaculture principles to combat the climate crisis. They grow fresh fruit and vegetables for their own use—and nurture a community that empowers one another, all united by the desire for a future that is sustainable and climate-just.The experience of self-efficacy gained through gardening restores confidence and often helps combat climate anxiety and resignation. The goal is to share this experience with as many people as possible, while also creating a space for dialogue and education: the "Green Room".But first, all hands are needed on deck, as the spacious garden house currently sits on the grounds, securely wrapped against the weather. During public hands-on sessions, a foundation will be built, and the garden house will be assembled, painted, furnished, and expanded to include an outdoor kitchen.In this hands-on session, we invite you to pitch in and help with the next stage of building our new educational space.At the end of the activity, there will be a shared picnic with herb butter and bread.
